in chapter 20 out of 30, viv and tandri have finally gone on what’s basically a date and i understand why this book appeals to a certain type of reader (female relationships being as unobtrusive as possible)

are viv and tandri supposed to get together because... lol. which i guess that's fair, that's the amount of depth i expect when i see people rec soft f/f :\

cool that you want to set up a coffee shop. but taverns exist. which serve food with the beer. beverage and food. so why are you surprised that someone set up a kitchen for you TO SERVE FOOD WITH YOUR BEVERAGE?!! i'm not even asking for a detailed system on food and commerce, but this is just common sense!

in other news, the prose is so sparse here and not in a way that can be wielded well.
