I thought this was a contemporary read, but this dialogue seems older or stereotypical "country folk" to me. “I know you have a lot of questions,” she said. “But I swear I will answer them all, given time. I know you and your family are good folk. I don’t intend to do you any ill. Later I’ll let you know more.”
