Great first few chapters - really engaging writing with interesting descriptions and likeable characterisation: the idea of description by absence e.g. emphasizing the silence by what could be replacing it was really effective and the traveller keeping the "right" amount of money in their pouch was really great worldbuilding - excited to br immersed in another fantasy world!
