It’s been a little while… 😅 I’ve been in a reading slump as of late, I’m afraid. 😳

It’s been awhile since I last picked this up… I’m in rather a read slump as of late.

I didn’t realize so many important historical figures had associations with the Black Forest…

I’m finally on the chapter about the specific area my story is set in!!! Yay! (And it’s SO interesting so far… I am so excited to describe some of this in my book. 🤩)

I think I like the second version of the Lady of Lauf better. 🤔

Reading about Baden’s hot springs was most interesting. I wonder how many of the original monuments still stand in Germany…

I can’t remember if I’m going by the page number on the scanned pages, or by the page number on Google Books, so Imma just go with the scanned pages, I think, otherwise I feel like I made no progress. 😆 I did read a lot today though, and it’s all so intriguing—I’m learning so much.

The contrast between the sweet, selfless Black Forest villagers and my cold, secluded character Heimerich is going to make an interesting contrast, I think! I hope it adds to the atmosphere I want on my story…
