No idea -- if he announced that he was going I missed it. :(

I hate that feeling of both concern and annoyance when someone just disappears.

although who knows, I almost never check feeds so he may have been posting status updates on leaving that I never saw. guess I will never know!

Maybe someone will comment and tell us? I feel like enough people follow him that I would have seen people commenting on such a status, but I haven't been online as much as usual this month.

I definitely don't recall him posting anything about leaving. I think he was spending more time over at BookLikes, though.

Huh! that still perplexes me though. he spent so much time on his reviews and in communicating - often very sensitively and empathetically - with people who commented on his reviews. also one of the biggest floaters of reviews, which to me is usually a sign of being all in, as far as this website is concerned.

ah well. farewell, Steve, wherever you may be!

Wow, you're right; Steve's disappeared from my friend list and the best reviewer lists. Too bad--I'll miss him.

well, sometimes they come back. hopefully he will, some day.

Well that's a surprise. Felt like I has a like from him just the other day.

I know that he was very sensitive to the troll attacks that many of us deal with on the regular... I can't help but wonder if he left due to something of that sort. his kind of nakedly sincere, idealistic and often spiritual writing can sometimes bring out the worst in people.

Good guy. He always was checking out my reviews, and I was often impressed at the wide range of his reading.
