Chris Johnson Mcaldles wonders on that graduation day if he ran into his parents arms would they see what he sees.

He remembers back to all the people that he met and all of them loved him, in their own way and it shows their life after he's gone.

Chris is remembering back to when Ron had decided to drive Chris 100 miles out instead of being stuck in the desert town.

Chris starts to starve and becomes desperate in search of food. He begins to find wild plants to eat but little does he know he ingested a poisonous plant that lead to starvation.

Chris meets an old man named Ron while hitchhiking. They begin to bond and he even teaches Chris how to tan leather and make cool crafts.

Chris kills a moose and is so excited to eat it's meat but while he's cutting it, the flies are all over it. So he decides to try and hide it and also smoke some of it before the grubs get into it but, it's too late. He then gets all mad because the moose is ruined so he gives it to the wolves.

Chris decides to leave the abandoned bus to go out and adventure until he is standing in front of river rapids. He decides to get closer for some reason and falls in, but manages to grab hold of branches on the side. He loses gear in the process in order to be able to pull himself out of the water. Then a storm brews and he decides to make his way back to the abandoned bus as his best bet.

I almost forgot Alex aka John his writing name.

John has rememberences back to when he was a kid amid his parents used to fight all the time and his sister always was so heartbroken over the fact that it was constant.

John stays in a homeless shelter for a couple of nights because he's sick of sleeping outside while he takes his journey to the road.
