Then again, I just glimpsed at the reviews for this and, uh... I think I went into this expecting it to be bad because other HG fans didn't seem to like it, but... it's not? bad?? at all??? and I'm starting to wonder if maybe the negative perception of the book was just faux-progressive socmed mob hate.

lmao, I've been listening to the audiobook of this alongside listening to the Unspoiled! podcast coverage of the story... and it's really hammering home just how much respect I've lost for Natasha and Roshawn lately. Seems like every time I try to jump back into the pod, their takes are even worse than before!? Misunderstanding plots/characterization/symbolism, missing context, so much smugness & judgment...
