I thoroughly enjoyed this history of Shakespeare; this was a reread, and I was somewhat surprised to find the character of Henry far more at odds with itself in matters of justice and nobility than I remembered. I suppose my memory is somewhat infringed upon by adaptations that tend to abridge Henry into a nobler character.
