Bucks does an incredible job putting his whole self out there in this beautiful memoir. As a well-meaning white liberal, I saw myself so much in Bucks’ story. I saw all the missteps and cringey responses. I hope “The Right Kind of White” prompts discussions for more people to investigate their whiteness and their own personal history as it relates to race.
