the whole skill debacle was a cool read. the name reveal!!!! verity is lowk a favourite while burrich is annoying as a character i can admire he sticks to his morals even tho it hurts fitzy. fitzy going into burnout for a month after failing smth is also v relatable. it takes ages to finish a page just because you need to eye EVERY detail and pay attention to who or what someone's talking about or else you're lost :<

the reveal of patience was pretty funny i had to go back and reread the kitchen scene. using molly as a way to explain how the commoners/everyone else feels at buckkeep about the raiders is nice, keeps it all tied together v neatly. a little aimless atm, shrewd is v much going to die and i have no clue how verity is going to manage but we'll see. regal is defo staging a coup.

fitz's voice is lovely. the odd observations that only he gets and what does go over his head is interesting. slowly he's getting dragged into the games of the court. curious to his faults and oblivious to others. hard but smooth reading despite being in a party rn 😵💫

with moving to buckkeep comes with expected drama. doesn't disappoint and the pacing is fair imo

pleasant intro :) the characters feel alive and are v distinct already without the need for a world building deepthroat, everything you do need is seeded v naturally into the dialogue between characters. chivalry abdicating threw me in a good way :)
