The subtitle "Railway, Canal and Other Stories of the Supernatural," that hooked me in the first place, is somewhat of deception. There's only 1 railway and 1 canal ghost story. 😥
On the other hand, the collection contains a supernatural tale set in a Black Country iron works...THAT I've never seen done!

Very much so! This is a re-print of a rare ghost collection from 1948. It starts with a railway story, then a canal story...then other stories. So taken very, very literally, the subtitle is correct! Railway, canal and OTHER stories. Just who is going to take it literally???🙄
