Woah. Things just got real dark, real fast - and not the good kind of dark either. This is the awful, want to set the book aside and take a moment kind of dark. Poor Iris 😕 I hope things start to get better for her and August - no, I need things to get better for her and August.

Yes Iris!!! I loved the part where she refused to press charges and instead took everything into her own hands. It suck’s that the legal system is like that (with all that corruption) yet I’m proud of her 😊 excited to see where Iris and August go after this “halftime” break.

Wow. I’m shocked at the turn this book took. I was almost going to put it down because it was a little too light and cheerful for me at the beginning. Now I’m hooked and I need to know what is going to happen to Caleb - he better either get a terrible sentence or meet a tragic end. I know that makes me a lunatic, but he needs a taste of his own medicine. Go Iris!!!
