i'm around 30% through the book right now and i think i enjoyed the character dynamics in book 2 a lot more; there isn't much of the fool so far and he's my fave character in this trilogy so maybe that's the reason

i'm one of those people who don't feel strongly about fitz either way BUT it sounds like you love fitz, and if that's the case then you will definitely love this book!
