AAHHHHHH This book was so good. It was a lot different than what I expected based on the dust jacket but it was still really enjoyable. It was very sad and dealt with a lot of very painful topics but it still had an uplifting tone. The relationship the two main characters had was very interesting and the nostalgic tone at the end was emotional for me.

I am no longer concerned about the relationship between the leads because there are horrific atrocities being committed every chapter. I don't mind reading about war but I will admit it is a bit jarring, I did not expect this book to be about the Abesingian Crusade

Okay I'm pretty far in the book and so far it seems like they're not going to date. Which is a negative because I bought this book thinking it would be a romance, but also VERY positive because don't wish for p*dophilia. I’m still keeping an eye out though the book isn't over.

I bought this book in London at a used book shop, the description didn't list the characters ages but said the main girl was a young Noblewoman. On the first page the love interest is introduced and he's described as being around 30. I thought okay, maybe the girls in her early 20’s. I keep reading and a few pages later it says she's 13. How does this keep happening to me WTF
