I finished the second part! I do not think there will be an overarching plot, which is quite sad/boring I guess. But the second story was much more interesting than the first one! I got to know the backstory of the main character's dad, who decided to live on an island away from everyone in Hawaii.

I don’t really enjoy the book, I just started the second part and it’s super confusing that all characters have the same names as in the first part, but have different relationships with each other.
