That was a quick but light read. And cute. I like how the graphic novel has the same tone as the show. That's not surprising because Luke Pearson was pretty involved in the animated series adaptation of the graphic novels.

Another difference is that Hilda's mother called out Woodman for coming into their house uninvited in the show. Whereas Hilda called him out in the graphic novel.
Aside from those minor differences, the graphic novel and the show are pretty similar.

This volume follows an episode of the animated series pretty closely. One of the few differences is that Hilda enjoyed sleeping outside in a tent in the graphic novel, but that detail wasn't in the show.
