On page 17, Malala says the people who intrude into her bus say "Who is Malala?"(17) If I was her in this situation I wouldn't know what to do. I would probably raise my hand and say it was me but I wouldn't know what I was getting into. She didn't know what she did and was nervous to say it was her because she had never seen these people before. I can't believe Malala went through this situation and acted so calm.

After reading I Am Malala my perspective on life has changed. She really went through hard times and didn't have a lot to work with. This shows how grateful I should be with everything I have. I really liked this book because it was very inspirational and written very well. Malala makes an amazing point saying that anyone can do anything if you put your mind to it.

After Malala was shot, she had to relearn all the basics of life. "How strange to have to work so hard on something that used to be second nature." (168) I can relate to a part of what's she's going through because after I broke my leg I couldn't walk normal and took a while to get my walking back to normal. It was very hard and like Malala required a lot of physical therapy.

"And I didn't hear the crack, crack, crack of the three bullets" (130) Malala uses repetition and onomatopoeia to emphasize and really bring the story to life. She says crack to make it seem like the bullet is going through her body at the moment. This onomatopoeia really makes he story much more realistic and brings it to life.

"So I decided to start an education foundation" (124) Malala is just an all around really good person. Everything she does is to help people in a positive way. Her attitude towards everything is so inspirational considering she had a death threat and didn't freak out, she stayed so calm.

"We felt like the taliban saw us as little dolls to control, telling us what to do and how to dress." (124) I don't know how I would handle this situation, I would want to stick up for myself but I know that I couldn't because I would have to face tbe consequences.

"I used to want to become a doctor but after everything we had been through, I began to think that becoming a political leader might be a better choice"(106) This quote really shows that Malala really is passionate about women's rights. She changed her dream career just so women like her could have a better life.

"War and terrorism had become child's play"(87) This is crazy because no parent wants their kid playing war and fighting with other kids. It's also sad to think that war is their reality and kids now are growing up with this horrible action.

"Suicide bombings and targeted killings were regular occurrences" (65) I could not even begun to imagine how life would be like. Every day people would die and the Taliban didn't even care. I would live in fear all the time and not wanna go anywhere because I wouldn't want to die.

"Women were banned from public places" (46) I think this is really unfair because people can't sit in their homes their whole life. They need to be able to go out and help support their family. Even though they can't work they can still go grocery shopping or things to help the family. Now the husband a going to have to do all of that by himself.

"They were terrified; and then when the destruction stopped, they waited for help." (30) I can relate to this because during hurricane Sandy my family was so scared because a tree had fallen our house for the second time. On top of that we lost power and had to wait for help and wait for our power to turn on because we didn't have a generator.
