I'm going through this very slowly, but I really appreciate the commentary that James Johnston provides here. This commentary is basically a series of sermon transcripts which are a balm to the soul.

From the Psalm 12 entry:
The walls of his kingdom surround us and protect us...This does not mean that you will never lose your job...that you will never be deceived and tricked out of your savings. It does mean that God will only allow things into your life that will be for your good and his glory (Rom 8: 28). Even if the worst happens, you know that God is in control and is using even this hardship to bless you.
