This is one of the most poorly written “popular” books I’ve read in ages. I cannot wait to be done. It’s emotionally manipulative, painfully predictable, too many underdeveloped or unnecessary supporting characters, and dialog that gives off “written by AI” energy. It’s like Hallmark-ifying a serious topic for book sales and it’s actually offensive.
