I’m sad that the author doesn’t seem to remember what happened during the fight. Alex was battered and bruised but was still with the women after the fight with Miletus. Suddenly he’s been kidnapped…grrr

Lying on the cold, unforgiving temple floor, panting and bloodied, Alex looked up at me with something akin to love shining in his eyes. I looked away, uncomfortable with what I saw in Alex’s eyes. I wasn’t ready to acknowledge the depths of my feelings for him. My friends were bruised and bleeding from countless injuries, with Alex being rather serious.
