This essay is very interesting because it makes one think about how his or hers actions and opinions are effected by the presence and influence of others. He brings up his views of morality and says that one can be given the "prize" (I believe he means afterlife) if one spends enough time on ones own and dedicates their life to the truth, he calls these people martyrs. This is very relevant to Into the Wild.
