Noël’s Reviews > The Adventures of Amina al-Sirafi > Status Update

forever obsessed with this cast of characters they're all so distinct and well fleshed out that they truly come off the page

'We'd weathered cyclones and rogue waves, doldrums and broken sails. Many a time, we chucked everything overboard, tied ourselves to the ship, and prayed, expecting the watery grave that takes so many of us. But I had a daughter to return to now'

I'm absolutely loving this book. I'm also stressing out big time for these characters though 😭❤️

Amina is the girlboss we all deserve. I support women's rights AND wrongs 😗

"Yes! That Captain Amina Al-Sirafi. The smuggler, the pirate. The Blasphemer that men of letters accuse of serving up human hearts for her sea-beast husband,, and the sorceress--for she must be a sorceress, because no female could sail a ship so deftly without the use of forbidden magics--whose appearance somehow both beguiles and repulses."

I'M SO EXCITED TO START READING THIS!!
