Why don’t the Sem just go to the grocery store for food instead of fish like barbarians?

Interesting degree of humanization of the Mongaul soldiers, too. I didn’t necessarily have any expectations going into this story, but it seems to be both fun high fantasy epic adventure and somewhat grounded at the same time. Am I wrong?

Notice Guin comes on the scene as some superhuman, but is clearly not invincible or untouchable at all. As for the count, I’ve been suspecting he’s some kind of demon in disguise or was transformed at some point, and isn’t just “ill.” Also, I don’t remember much of this being in the anime, but I’ll have to rewatch once I’ve read all of this.

I don’t know why, but I love this book.
