I like how Allen downplays his emotions to others, hiding them. It's creates such tension!

Okay, I skimmed a few boring chapters and we're back in the game now! Yes!

Amazingly good reading until the plot turned the wrong corner: mc1 ooc sleeps with tertiary character (act not described, thank god), then moves off on a secret mission that takes him away from mc2. So now, instead of enemies-to-lovers tension, I'm reading pages and pages of boring political "intrigue" while the two mc's are countries apart. The story is losing my formerly tight attention; my feelz are drifting away.
