I enjoyed the first half. I went back to reading after a long break, and now I remember why I had stopped. I usually love the mystical, but this imagery is pretty disturbing. Not sure if it’s on me, or if it is something truly worthy of caution.

A rare combination of an interesting woman, holy edification, and a writer who can piece together her story in a coherent timeline. I do wish that there were more moments of time orientation—like saying that this happened when she was 25 or when her oldest daughter was 8 or something. But so far, this has been one of the best biographies I’ve read on quite some time.
