the last four chapters were amazing however the last chapter was crazy. Ishmeal actually enjoyed his opportunity to meet other childeren around the globe and shared their difficult situations. However Ishmeal still has flash backs about his violent past of being a soldier. But as he arrives to the U.S. he experiances a new life style, his unmcle helps take care of him and life becomes great for him

As Ishmeal and his friends are finally done being a soldier according to the luitinent they are sent to an aslyum as they try to recover but can not stop thinking about violence and their drug addiction. Ishmeal does meet with a nurse names Esther who tries to help helps calm Ishmeal as she helps him foreget about his violent memories of being a soldier she also gives a him a gift of cassetts and a walkman.

Ismeal is telling about his experiances as a young soldier. His character has changes dramatically throughout the story. At first he was just a young peaceful boy, but no he has became a total ruthless killer and has been trained to be this way. .

Wow! i am suprised that Ishmael and his friends had made through hard situations, everwhere they go the y face death and death is always aroun them, at this point one of Ishmeals friends (Saidu) had died, and now they have recieved news on the whereabouts of his family
