The more I read, the more I’m convinced that I picked the wrong overview of Christian history.
Only a few pages on eastern Christianity and the rest focused on western. Author has clear biases to Protestantism, so it’s hard to know if he is or isn’t omitting important details.

While I certainly have learned a lot so far, the author is unfortunately a biased guide to Christian history. The book mostly focuses on western Christianity and the author (a devout evangelical Christian) can’t help but put his finger on the scale when discussing things like Catholic Canon law or the nicean creed.
