“Dale, whenever you’re in the public eye, you’re going to receive a huge amount of unjustifiable criticism and a large amount of undeserved praise, and you should not be unduly affected by either. That’s how I choose to live my life.” Coach Wooden

The legend of Bill Russel and Wilt Chamberlain is expounded upon splendidly in the beginning of this book. But Bill and Wilt stood for a lot more than just basketball players. They stood for racial equality.
Along with being activists and rivals on the court, they were best of friends. Wilt was definitely the better player, but Bill knew how to win. Bill won 11 out of 13 championships that he played.

At first I wasn’t a big fan, but after reading part of the second chapter I see the value and entertainment of reading this book. The interviews are aligned in such a way that it tells a cohesive story. I’m hoping to learn a lot about the NBA and the wider sport of basketball.
