I saw both movies before picking up the book. I don't usually read sci-fi like this, mostly watching, but I do enjoy the themes of sci-fi media and literature. Thirty pages in and I think it's just alright! I feel spoiled by the movies, but also like a lot of the scenes I watched are given more weight (naturally a lot was cut for pacing sake). Solid 'okay', but I trust it will get as good as people say it is.
