We returned to our Trans Siberian Railway journey tonight! We visited Omsk.

I love food descriptions, I love evaluation scales. I love dining cars on trains!

I entered the wrong percentage yesterday. Last night, we began read about Irkutsk, a place I have dreamed of as long as I can remember. Lake Baikal!

When my dad and I moved to Ukraine for his Fulbright, he told me that the other option he strongly considered was Irkutsk. Kharkiv, Ukraine is the city of my soul; what would my life be had we gone to Irkutsk instead?

This book is a joy to read with Vanessa for Bedtime-Booktime, even if it is a challenge to read a heavily-illustrated title over Facetime. We agree that we would love to visit Mongolia, though I would have to work my way up to trying salty horse milk tea beforehand so as not to be rude to anyone!

The narrator and her partner are staying in a ger in Mongolia. We discussed what it would be like to have someone come stay with us as a home stay. Vanessa notes we have no mutton dumplings!
