every time a chapter starts that’s just mr hugo putting essays about his personal politics and semantics in a novel i’m like “do i really want this” and then it goes back to actually following the characters and i’m BACK BABY he knows what he’s doing i guess

mr hugo i beg of you please stop dropping bangers of lines such as “for where there is no more hope, song remains” in the middle of a multiple chapters long essay about your own personal gripes with people looking down on the language of the streets
