If the urchin lives I’ll be mad

If he doesn’t at the very least, lose that arm, I’ll be pissed

If the ending isn’t grand I’ll be annoyed

Not that these two books have been building up to anything

Glad I skimmed the majority of this shit

Ugh what an awful cliffhanger of an ending


It’s so fucking obvious that the priest or urchin killed that woman.

Maybe even killed Gil somehow.

And the whole thing with urchin being healed by the priest and constantly being seen eating weird shit, shady.

There aren’t enough moments like the fmc cursing Urchin or whatever his name is.

I’m tempted to not delete this book just so I can go back and read that passage of all those curses she dumped on his ass.

Chapter three…

and there are thirteen chapters total

This is fairly short book

And yet I feel dread at having to read it at all bc it feels so fucking long
Maybe bc I know the plot vaguely, tired of the bad guys being idiots, and threat of the plague

Add horses to that list.

I don’t love horses, but neither do I abhor them in any shape or form.

This fmc however, is written to come off as deeply offended and put off at the mere mention of horses.

WHY DOES SHE HATE HORSES. LEAVE THEM ALONE. BE GRATEFUL THEYRE LUGGING YOUR ASS AROUND.

I’m about to one star this bitch.

Belatedly realizing, or slow to realizing that this author seems more than a little racist and brazingly appropriating cultures.

The “gurt” that the plains people whatever, eat. And enjoy. But the fmc is written to hate and spit on them every single time it appears.

Reading the blurb for this and what I’ve gotten through so far, I feel like I may have read this book too.
Maybe I just didn’t get to the third book.

Maybe also why I have an anxious feeling about this weed the fmc is going crazy for rn, plus this plague they’re all about to succumb to… I *think* the weed is the problem
