Weird how this is the book I remembered scenes from, and finally the Noodle joins the series. I definitely don't remember what the elves are up to but iirc the angels learn the truth about them eventually... until they've got a full war on in Aaru. Might be my fave book so far, if only Wyatt would fuck off completely
