This has been such a gratifying book to read so far. LMAO! Im proud of the black women who actively resisted ill treatment once they became free and let their former mistresses know what time it was. They don't teach this in school.

I'm surprised I have gotten this far with a non-fiction book. It rambles a bit sometimes, but overall it's good.
