Loving learning more about the creatures of Slavic folklore. I did a tiny bit of research to see what some depictions of the monsters look like and learn more about their characteristics as I encountered them in the book, but it's not really needed as Roth's descriptions are so detailed (and eerie). Also enjoying the Chicago setting with this "hidden" population of creatures working at bars and movie theaters.
