Just yes :P Everyone loves to hate on DC, but they have a lot of uplifting and powerful stories and inspiring characters.
Whoa whoa whoa. I'm not one of those people to just hate on things based on who made it. I love lots of things done by DC. It just so happens that I thought Man of Steel was the biggest waste of my time and I'm not going to waste time, money or effort on the sequel. Superman is my favorite superhero. No contest. And that portrayal of him didn't do him justice.
I'm not saying you are. But that seems to be the general case. :P There are lots of Superman iterations, lots of comic lore, they happened to draw on some of the darker corners and forge new paths as well. Superman is likewise my favorite and I grew up with the cartoons. I saw many different sides of him and I happened to like Man of Steel. Difference of opinion.https://goo.gl/photos/u7zexMfhp1f774jm9
