Viviane :( Still a shocking scene. I think she really was delusional in the end though re: Christianity overtaking everything and what could be done about it. Can't unring that big ass bell. It's done.

To be honest I am extremely bored.

I had been looking forward to reading had become of Morgaine while she was missing, and it was so beautiful and I was holding my breath but like...the thing that took me out was....you'd think the next Lady of Avalon would have been taught at some point during all her advanced priestess training that DON'T EAT THE FAIRY FOOD/DRINK THE FAIRY DRINK is not mere superstition???? Well. She learned the hard way lmao.

Gwenhwyfar still gives me a headache. My goodness. I do confess that I feel I've hit a rather snaggy and dull bit. I hope we're back with Morgaine soon, but honestly I'm feeling wary of her after witnessing her internal meltdown re: Lancelet's rejection. He also said some absolutely wild things, everything about it was wild, but um............yeah. Everybody sucks here!!!!!

Genuinely not looking forward to spending more time with Gwen.............still cannot believe she called Morgaine ugly to her face multiple times AS MORGAINE WAS TRYING TO HELP HER??????? And she still looks back on it like "omg she was so ugly" like okay weirdo???

I don't think the depth and breadth of Viviane's scheming fully registered when I was reading this in seventh grade.
