A Matter of Vocabulary - for me, kind of a strange coming of age story of a young black boy in the South who goes to work in town at a store that serves white people. He works 7 days a week so he doesn't have to go to church which his mother doesn't like. Many points of view on the kid as we view his world through his eyes and what he thinks they think of him. Time capsule piece. Interesting
