I think this book has been mismarketed. I am enjoying it, but I am not seeing the Hades/Persephone connection beyond being kidnapped to be married and I am definitely not seeing how it is a fantasy. Historical Fiction. 15th century Africa. No magic beyond what I would consider religious superstition, no magical beasts beyond cool African animals. And not a romance (which I like since she was kidnapped). So far...
