"When Bosnian Muslims attempted to protect themselves against aggression, they were (as in Srebrenica) disarmed as if they were the primary aggressors. By the time the Bosnian government & its supporters had overcome the shock at the behaviour of their compatriots, they had lost their country. Lack of concerted international intervention in the early years of the conflict made sure that they never truly got it back."
