Irini's story is brutal. Parts of Babis' (Yanni's cousin, from An Unquiet Mind), was too, but less than Irini's . So different to the idyllic sheen the other stories, though often difficult and filled with hardship, had.

Interesting note in the description, this story is based on a true story. Something that happened in the life of one of her family members. Not sure yet if the story is going to be Irini's or Petta's story. Also, it seems like every book that Marina reappears in, she becomes less appealing, or sympathetic, somehow.
