(1) The last thing I expected was for this series to stray into literary fiction.
- The issue felt like the kind of short story you'd be assigned to read in English class.
- It's all about symbolism and conveying information indirectly.
(2) I do love that Erica using a flip phone is a thing now.
- Other characters use smartphones, so she's deliberately anachronistic.
