What do you think of this biography? I was thinking about reading it. (I am a military historian by training so I speak Army if that is a deciding factor.)

So far, I would say I could recommend it. The military/military history is just one part of the story, though.
I have read other biographies of his as well and actually had the pleasure of meeting him as a kid. He was a big guy.

Meanwhile, one of the things I have been liking about this book is the author delving into things like Latino history and struggles along with U.S. and world history that inform the life stories of Roy Benavidez and his family.
