It's interesting how the savage sees everything that is considered normal by society, As they mentioned at the beginning of the book, is easy to know and identify what's wrong when you are not part of the system.
On the other hand, it's scary to think that people are happy (are they really?) and the price for that happiness is freedom. But maybe is not happiness what they feel, is just being satisfied (8?)

Everyone is conditioned to be busy, to do things in the community and not to reflect on their life. Whenever they feel bored, they take soma, to avoid reflecting on their life or on things.
The quiet moments, the not busy times when you can think everything over, are important.
Being an outsider helps you see things, that are common but wrong ?

I thought this book was about a softer dystopia, similar to what we live now. But the first chapter is an eye opener and deeply scared me.
Makes me wonder how many things we are conditioned to feel or think and we never question.
