I know he is an emperor and all but can Maia get a friend! Especially after all that has happened to him! His guards (I can’t spell the name due to audiobook) are actually being friendly with him now but still. I love how he always tries to be kind and compassionate. It is nice to see the people around him become friendlier and become more open with him. I am upset with what happened with the attempted REDACTED!

With a new author comes a new style to get used to. I like the use of an old English way speaking but it was confusing at first with the use of we in a singular instead of a plural. (I am listening to the book so forgive me if I spell names wrong or don’t use the proper names) I like maya, the poor boy, but it is upsetting for him to try to be kind and told not to be because of how it looks to others!
