Megan How are you liking it? I was interested but saw a lot of negative reviews on it.

weeklycayla I’m enjoying it a lot. Her Not Even Bones series is definitely better, but its a fun and interesting read for sure!

The biggest complaint I really have is the main character experiences a trauma and while I get she’s supposed to be experiencing PTSD from the trauma, it feels a little too repetitive/forced/not described well. She does really well at writing the generalized anxiety side of the trauma but when it comes to the ptsd of trauma itself, it’s the repetitive part. I definitely recommend reading if you want a quick fun read. It is such an interesting concept about nightmares coming to life.

If you haven’t read Not Even Bones series and like gore/monster hunting/plot twists of century, I’d def read that as well or first :)

weeklycayla This is also me being a little critical but the town the story is in is literally crazy and full of crimes and gangs and political corruption, but it doesn’t really dive into it. Im assuming its bc the nightmares but id like more background/history just bc on the way to work, there’s a gang shootout and everyone acts like “oh just another traffic jam”
