Still all review for me so far. Bird has a no-nonsense style that I find intriguing. I wonder how I'd fare with such fast and terse material if I weren't already familiar. If later chapters surpass what I already know, I suppose I'll find out.

The first chapter was pure review for me so far. I didn't realize this was a book for students with little background in programming. I'll keep at it to see how it progresses.
