A tale of epic proportions. The anticipation I feel reading this is even higher than when I watched the movies. There are so many more details and characters to explore. Masterclass fantasy novel!

Ugh. So good.

You know, when watching a movie of which you've read the books, you are bound to feel disappointments here and there.
I find myself utterly enchanted with reading this story - it's so much richer than the movies. I still love the movies - but time passes much slower in the books. Already there are so many plots of which the movies only hinted at. I can't wait to read on...

A lifelong dream to finally set time aside to read my beautiful edition of LotR.
Rain outside. Salt-lamp and candles burning. Vacation time. Time for an adventure....
