Cam’s Reviews > Pride and Prejudice > Status Update

I have just accepted the fact that this is my holiday book… that will only be read while I am on holiday.

Either that or it’s picked up when I need a lighthearted story to temporarily pull me out from the clutches of a very dramatic and traumatic fantasy series… a girl needs some fresh air every now and then.

I am beginning to find Mr Collins very rude and annoyingly persistent. He seems like a delusional young man quite focused on his own benefit while still upholding a humble exterior. Although he is a sensible gentleman, he still seems unaware of his ability to frustrate those in his company.

I’ve decided, I don’t like Mr Collins, his character is rather unattractive in regard to personality and demeanour.

I’m not so certain that I like Mr Collins. His character comes off as rather frustrating and proud.

Jane and Elizabeth have finally returned home, and I find that I’m sadder for it. I loved reading about Elizabeth and Mr Darcy’s interactions, I look forward to more of that.

I’m loving the humour in this book. The characters are enjoyable and each unique. I’ve already got a few favourite quotes and can’t help but laugh at some moments in the story.
