This was a reread for me but for some reason, I guess retrospection develops strongly as the years fly by, it had much more emotional resonance and cathartic value to me this time round.
I think my own personal struggles with bullying really had me connecting with the protagonist in a way I hadn't before and it made the novel much more relevant to me and my life.
